Chapter 8 goes into great detail about the seriousness of plagiarism and how to avoid it. Not only does it give some insight on how to avoid it but also talks about recognizing it, and when it is unintentional or intentional. When it comes to unitentional plagiarism, there will usually be penalties such as re-writng the assignment, a lower grade, and or a failing grade. However with Intentional plagiarism the penalties are much more serious, resulting in possible failure of the course. Lastly it briefly goes over plagiarism in group projects, and when to acknowledge others.
